Tyson Fury was deeply disappointed and surprised by his injury which led to the postponement of his fight against Oleksandr Usyk. The bout initially scheduled for February 17 was delayed after Fury sustained a cut above his eye during sparring with Agron Smakici.

However, Smakici refuted claims of showing no remorse and stated that it was an accidental elbow strike during wrestling that caused the injury. He expressed willingness to spar with Fury again ensuring precautions to prevent further accidents.

Meanwhile, Usyk’s manager criticized Fury accusing him of cowardice which Fury vehemently denied defending his professional record and threatening retaliation for derogatory remarks about his wife.
