"G2 Esports and Invictus Gaming Forge Alliance for China's Dota 2 Team Launch"

G2 Esports has teamed up with Invictus Gaming to establish G2. IG, marking G2’s entry into Dota 2 and the Chinese esports scene. G2. IG is set to make its debut at the ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 major, joining Invictus Gaming’s portfolio that spans various esports like League of Legends, Counter-Strike, and PUBG.

The collaboration reflects G2’s strategy to expand globally, following recent moves in North America and Asia, including securing a Call of Duty League franchise and establishing G2 Blacklist in the Philippines for Wild Rift. This partnership, supported by M88 Mansion, also adds a betting partnership to G2. IG and G2’s Counter-Strike teams.

Alban Dechelotte, CEO of G2 Esports, expressed enthusiasm for the alliance, highlighting China’s significance as a key market and their excitement in venturing into Dota 2: “This collaboration with iG opens doors for us in a major esports market. We believe partnering with iG, a team with esteemed accolades, will enable us to build a strong presence in China and enter the Dota 2 realm effectively, resonating with our fans across the globe.”
