Germany claimed Junior World Cup title

In the hockey final played in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, Germany defeated longtime rivals France 2-1 to win their seventh Junior World Cup title. 

Jan Cordes gave Germany the lead in the 32nd minute, and Liam Holdermann’s goal in the 24th minute made it 2-0.

Jules Verrier’s goal in the 17th minute had given France a momentary 1-0 lead. Germany defeated France in the championship game to win their seventh Junior World Cup trophy.

The competition took place at the National Hockey Stadium in Bukit Jalil from December 13–17.
