Getafe Optimistic About Extending Mason Greenwood Loan Amidst Manchester United Talks
Getafe is hopeful about keeping Mason Greenwood on loan for another season as club president Angel Torres believes in the player’s willingness to stay. Both Getafe and Manchester United don’t anticipate Greenwood returning to his parent club. Greenwood continuation at Getafe is supported by the player, his family and the club itself. He has scored 10 goals in 32 appearances, making a significant impact for Getafe in La Liga.
The loan arrangement began in September after Manchester United conducted an internal investigation into Greenwood behavior which led to legal issues that were later resolved. Recent talks with United suggest they might consider selling Greenwood if a suitable offer arises indicating his probable stay at Getafe.
A final decision is expected by the end of June. Despite earlier uncertainty expressed by United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, Getafe remains positive about retaining Greenwood.
