The World Snooker Tour has introduced a new major event in Saudi Arabia called the Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters scheduled for August boasting a substantial £2 million prize pool. In collaboration with the Saudi Arabian Billiard & Snooker Federation and the Ministry of Sport for Saudi Arabia the World Snooker Tour aims to make this tournament the second richest on the 2024 schedule in addition to the traditional Triple Crown events.
The Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters will be open to all 128 tour players along with six local wild cards from the Saudi Arabian Billiard & Snooker Federation. Saudi Minister of Sport, HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal expressed enthusiasm for the event emphasizing Saudi Arabia’s commitment to hosting world class sporting competitions.
