Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin Rumsani Shine at Asian Championships, Settle for Silver in Final

Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin Rumsani of Malaysia narrowly missed out on Olympic qualification despite a strong showing at the recent Asian Championships. The men’s doubles pair impressed by defeating top-ranked opponents but fell short in the final, settling for silver.

Rexy Mainaky the coaching director of the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) praised their performance but highlighted the need for consistency throughout the season to secure Olympic qualification. 

He also cautioned against excessive praise, emphasizing the importance of maintaining focus. Despite their near miss both pairs along with Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik have been selected for the upcoming Thomas Cup challenge in Chengdu, China.
