Golden State Warriors Overcome Technical Issues to Defeat Lakers in Marathon Finish
In the Golden State Warriors’ 128-121 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers the last two minutes of the game took over 20 minutes of real time due to various replay reviews and shot-clock malfunctions. The delays started with a challenge by Lakers coach Darvin Ham which led to a reversal of a LeBron James 3-pointer.
Despite frustrations from both teams, James defended the spirit of replay rules. The game experienced further delays with shot-clock malfunctions and out-of-bounds calls causing dissatisfaction among players and fans alike. Eventually, the Warriors secured the win flipping their standings with the Lakers in the Western Conference.
Despite the setbacks, Lakers guard D’Angelo Russell emphasized the importance of every game at this stage of the season.
