Facundo Pellistri made a significant impact in Granada’s 3-3 draw against Barcelona becoming the youngest player in 24 years to score and assist in a LaLiga away game against the Spanish giant. In just his second appearance for Granada on loan from Manchester United the Uruguayan assisted in Ricard Sánchez’s goal then scored the second for Granada.
Despite an open goal finish, Barcelona equalized shortly after. Granada took the lead again but Barcelona managed to level the score at 3-3. Pellistri’s performance earned praise from manager Alexander Medina who commended the player’s hierarchy and personality on the field.
The draw was encouraging for Granada currently 19th in LaLiga and marked a positive outing for Pellistri who struggled for game time at Manchester United before his loan move.
