Greg Norman Continues Fight for LIV Golf Recognition Amid OWGR Dispute

Greg Norman, commissioner of LIV Golf has criticized the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) again pushing for recognition of the Saudi Arabia-backed breakaway tour. Despite attracting top players, LIV is not sanctioned by the OWGR resulting in players dropping in rankings and missing major championships.

Norman and players like Jon Rahm and Brooks Koepka have slammed the OWGR’s criteria. Norman recently posted a comparison of OWGR with other rankings stating LIV would have more players in the top 50 if recent signees were included. Talks between PGA Tour and LIV Golf’s backers for a merger deal are ongoing.
