Harlequins Optimistic About Danny Care Future Beyond International Retirement

Harlequins are optimistic about Danny Care potential to continue playing next season after his retirement from international rugby, according to director of rugby Billy Millard. Danny Care (37) retired from his 101-cap England career following the Six Nations where he played all five games.

Millard praised Care contribution, labeling him a “freak athlete” and expressing hope for his continued presence in the Premiership side. Care who made his debut in 2006 has amassed 371 appearances and 110 tries for Harlequins winning two Premiership titles.

Despite being sin-binned in a recent defeat against Saracens, Care influence and leadership are highly valued within the club as emphasized by teammate Alex Dombrandt. Dombrandt hailed Care outstanding on-field performance and character affirming his significant contribution to Harlequins.
