Hearts Set to Navigate End of Season Talks with First-Team Stars
Hearts are preparing for end of season discussions with several first-team players as they plan for the future. With contracts expiring in the summer of 2025, the club is focused on proactive management of player affairs. They aim to extend contracts for some players while seeking improved performances from others to secure their long-term commitment.
Additionally, they may consider selling one or two players to maximize their market value. Notable figures like captain Lawrence Shankland and left-back Alex Cochrane are among those involved in discussions with the club prioritizing retention of key players. Head coach Steven Naismith stressed the importance of evaluating each player’s situation individually.
The club is also addressing players whose contracts expire this summer including Beni Baningime, Peter Haring and Andy Halliday. Baningime contract status remains uncertain while Halliday and goalkeeper Michael McGovern on loan at Livingston have not received contract offers.
