England captain Heather Knight scored her second consecutive half-century, leading her team to a 15 runs victory in the second T20 international match against New Zealand. With this win, England now leads the five matchs series 2-0. Knight’s innings of 56 runs from 40 balls was crucial as England posted 149 for seven at Saxton Oval in Nelson.

Tammy Beaumont contributed 19 runs while Charlie Dean added 16. Knight acknowledged the challenge posed by New Zealand’s bowlers but praised her team’s effort in the middle overs. Rosemary Mair and Sophie Devine stood out for New Zealand with two wickets each.

Despite Ameila Kerr’s 44 runs, New Zealand fell short as England’s bowler including Dean and Lauren Bell took crucial wickets. New Zealand’s Devine emphasized the need for improvement, particularly in the middle overs. The third match of the series will also be held at Saxton Oval on Sunday.
