Historic Victory: Girona Champions League Qualification as Real Madrid Seals La Liga Title

Girona secured their historic qualification for the Champions League and indirectly helped Real Madrid clinch the La Liga title by defeating Barcelona in a thrilling Catalan derby. Despite an early goal from Andreas Christensen, Girona quickly responded through Artem Dovbyk who later assisted Portu for the winning goal.

Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham now trails Dovbyk in the race for the Pichichi Trophy. Girona remarkable comeback, including three goals in quick succession sealed their place in Europe premier club competition for the first time in their history.

The defeat for Barcelona confirmed Real Madrid’s 36th La Liga title adding to Girona celebrations.
