Iga Swiatek Clinches 18th WTA Title in Doha Thriller Against Rybakina

Poland’s Iga Swiatek secured her third consecutive Qatar Open title by defeating Elena Rybakina in straight sets. Despite trailing by a double break in the first set, Swiatek rallied to win 7-6 (10-8) 6-2 in Doha. This victory marks her 18th WTA title and is the first of the year.

Swiatek is the first player since Serena Williams in 2015 to win a WTA singles title three times in a row. In the men’s circuit, Alex de Minaur celebrated his 25th birthday with a win over Grigor Dimitrov to reach the Rotterdam Open final where he will face Jannik Sinner.

Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz lost in the semi-finals of the Argentina Open. At the Delray Beach Open, Julian Cash and Neal Skupski advanced to the men’s doubles final.
