Maria Sakkari secured her place in the Indian Wells final after defeating Coco Gauff in a rain-affected match. Despite letting a second set lead slip, Sakkari rallied to win 6-4, 6-7 (5-7), 6-2. She will face world number one Iga Swiatek in the final setting up a rematch of the 2022 final which Swiatek won.
Swiatek who hasn’t dropped a set in the tournament defeated Marta Kostyuk in straight sets to reach the final. Meanwhile, in the men’s draw, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner will face off in the semi-finals followed by Daniil Medvedev against Tommy Paul.
