Former Burnley striker Danny Ings now playing for West Ham prevented his ex-club from securing a rare win as they fought back from 2-0 down to salvage a pulsating draw. Ings who had a goal disallowed by VAR just before the equalizer nearly secured a victory but hit the crossbar in injury time. Despite the draw, Burnley moved off the bottom of the Premier League but rued dropping points from a winning position.

West Ham initially lifeless displayed a different energy in the second half with Lucas Paqueta scoring within 30 seconds of the restart. Ings’ late intervention denied Burnley a crucial win. The draw moves Burnley back above Sheffield United into 19th place on goal difference while West Ham remains in seventh place.
