Crystal Palace and England goalkeeper Sam Johnstone will miss the remainder of the Premier League season and is unlikely to participate in Euro 2024 due to undergoing elbow surgery. The 31 years old, who has earned four caps for England, withdrew from the national squad and sought a specialist’s consultation.
Johnstone who has made 23 appearances for Palace this season was expected to serve as Jordan Pickford backup in the upcoming tournament. Palace currently positioned 14th in the Premier League will play against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Saturday.
