Virat Kohli, the Indian cricketer, will miss the rest of the Test series against England for personal reasons. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed this, stating they fully support Kohli’s decision.
Kohli had already skipped the first two Tests. The series is currently tied 1-1 with three matches remaining, starting with the third Test in Rajkot on February 15th. Shreyas Iyer, who played in the first two Tests, is also not part of the squad for the remaining matches.
Spinner Ravindra Jadeja and batter KL Rahul, who played in the first Test, may return pending clearance from the BCCI medical team. Additionally, uncapped seamer Akash Deep has been called up to the squad.
