Jorge Martín of Pramac Racing emerged victorious at the Portuguese Grand Prix at the Algarve International Circuit, seizing the MotoGP championship lead. Meanwhile, rookie Pedro Acosta (19) secured his first premier-class podium with an impressive performance, finishing third after starting from seventh.

Martín’s dominant ride propelled him to the championship lead, replacing reigning champion Francesco Bagnaia, who crashed out of the race along with Marc Márquez. Despite initial concerns about tire management, Acosta showcased his potential by overtaking seasoned competitors and eventually clinching third place.

The incident between Bagnaia and Márquez was investigated by MotoGP stewards but no sanctions were imposed. Acosta’s achievement as the third-youngest podium finisher in premier class history marks a significant milestone in his budding career.
