Katie Taylor the undisputed light-welterweight champion is set to rematch Amanda Serrano on July 20 in Texas. Their first encounter a lightweight classic saw Taylor win via split decision two years ago. Now, Taylor is undisputed champion at light-welterweight while Serrano moves up in weight to face her.
The rematch highly anticipated will be the co-main event to Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson at AT&T Stadium in Dallas. Serrano relinquished her WBC featherweight title to resume fighting at 10, two minutes round. The first fight between Taylor and Serrano was a milestone for women’s boxing and the rematch will be broadcast on Netflix reaching a global audience of 260 million.
With the event expected to draw a record crowd, both fighters aim for victory with Serrano seeking a stoppage to avoid leaving the decision to the judges.
