Jurgen Klopp has expressed skepticism about the feasibility of top clubs pursuing Kylian Mbappe who is expected to leave PSG in the upcoming summer transfer window. While Liverpool has previously shown interest, Klopp downplayed the likelihood of a deal citing challenges related to wages and signing on fees.
Klopp who won’t be with Liverpool next season, emphasized the financial complexities involved. Despite previously acknowledging Mbappe as a talented player, Klopp stated that the financial conditions don’t align with Liverpool’s plans.
Mbappe is reportedly seeking a £60 million a year wage and a £107 million signing on bonus for his next club. Liverpool, currently leading the Premier League remains active in multiple competitions including the Carabao Cup, FA Cup and Europa League.
