Kokkinakis Knocks Out Evans, Sets Up Clash with Zverev in Los Cabos Quarters

Dan Evans was eliminated from the ATP Los Cabos Open after a straight sets loss to Australia’s Thanasi Kokkinakis in the last 16. Kokkinakis secured his quarter-final spot with a 6-4, 6-2 victory over the world No 42 Briton marking his second consecutive win against a British opponent. 

The Australian will face world No 6 Alexander Zverev in the next round. Meanwhile, Alex Michelsen caused an upset by defeating third-seeded Alex de Minaur 6-4, 6-1. Other seeded players including Stefanos Tsitsipas and Casper Ruud also advanced with straight-set wins.

 Top-seeded Zverev dominated against Yoshihito Nishioka in night action with a 6-3, 6-0 victory.
