Paris St-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe (25 has informed the club of his intention to leave when his contract expires in June and join Real Madrid. Although Mbappe has yet to sign a contract with Real an announcement may occur after the clubs are no longer able to meet in this season’s Champions League.

The deal reportedly includes a five years contract with a salary of 15m euros (£12.8m) per season a 150m euro (£128m) signing-on bonus paid over five years and a percentage of image rights. Real manager Carlo Ancelotti has plans for Mbappe’s role in the team with England’s Jude Bellingham playing a deeper role and Vinicius Jr on the left.

PSG is 2-0 up against Real Sociedad in the Champions League while Real leads RB Leipzig 1-0. Mbappe PSG’s record goalscorer with 244 goals had joined PSG in 2017 from Monaco and won five Ligue 1 titles with the club. He previously turned down a move to Real in May 2022 when signing his current contract extension.

Mbappe’s departure is anticipated either through a transfer fee or financial concessions. The striker aims to leave his mark at Real Madrid joining a strong team leading La Liga and performing well in the Champions League.
