Leah Williamson returns to the England squad after a nine-month recovery from an ACL injury. The Arsenal centre-back will join friendlies against Austria and Italy. Millie Bright misses out due to a knee injury while Sarina Wiegman is pleased with Williamson’s recovery and decision making.

Uncapped Grace Clinton and recalled Jess Park are included in the squad while in-form Nikita Parris is omitted. Wiegman expresses concerns about the players’ congested schedule and emphasizes the need for proper rest. The squad is building towards the 2025 European Championship qualifiers in April.

Lauren James is deemed okay after an injury scare and Wiegman acknowledges the tough decision regarding Nikita Parris.
