Leeds United climbed to the top of the Championship table for the first time this season after defeating Millwall at Elland Road. Wilfried Gnonto opened the scoring with a stunning strike just past the half-hour mark followed by Dan James sealing the win with a close-range finish in the second half.

Despite Millwall’s efforts, Leeds dominated the game with Sarkic making several crucial saves to keep the visitors in contention. Leeds boss Daniel Farke praised his team’s mature performance while Millwall’s Neil Harris acknowledged Leeds’ superiority and expressed disappointment at conceding goals at crucial moments.

The victory lifted Leeds above Leicester on goal difference with Ipswich trailing by a point in third place.
