Leon Bailey Hails ‘Brilliant’ Newcastle Setup After Aston Villa’s Defeat

Aston Villa winger Leon Bailey praised Newcastle United’s ‘brilliant’ setup following their 3-1 victory at Villa Park. Despite Villa’s strong form this season and their pursuit of Champions League qualification the midweek defeat dealt a blow to their top four aspirations.

Fabian Schar’s first-half brace and an own goal by Alex Moreno secured the win for Newcastle moving them to seventh in the Premier League 11 points behind Villa. Bailey acknowledged Newcastle’s impressive performance emphasizing their effective structure and challenging play.

He highlighted the difficulty Villa faced especially in the first half and emphasized the need to learn from the experience.
