Littler Aims for World Matchplay and Grand Prix Qualification Despite Loss

Luke Littler couldn’t replicate his debut success at the Players Championship being eliminated in the second round in Wigan. Despite hitting a nine-darter in his previous victory, the 17 years old lost 6-5 to Radek Szaganski.

Szaganski took a 5-3 lead but Littler leveled the score at 5-5 before Szaganski secured the deciding leg. Despite this loss, Littler expressed determination to qualify for the World Matchplay and World Grand Prix events.

Gary Anderson won Players Championship 2 defeating Ryan Searle 8-5 in the final. Anderson praised his performance throughout the tournament and expressed enthusiasm for upcoming events. Littler is set to participate in Premier League Darts on Thursday facing Price in Glasgow.
