Bayern Munich’s sporting director, Max Eberl revealed facing rejection from Xabi Alonso in a previous attempt to recruit him for Borussia Monchengladbach. Alonso is currently Bayern’s top choice for their upcoming managerial position but he’s also on Liverpool’s shortlist for replacing Jurgen Klopp. Eberl now at Bayern expressed his admiration for Alonso’s response to his earlier approach.
While discussing the coaching situation, Eberl emphasized the need for the right fit with the club’s standards. Alonso currently managing Bayer Leverkusen remains focused on his current role. Bayern aims to find a coach who can integrate young talents similar to Real Madrid’s approach with players like Eduardo Camavinga alongside experienced midfielders.
