Liverpool Eyes AC Milan's Frederic Massara and Nice's Florent Ghisolfi for Sporting Director Role

Liverpool is reportedly considering Frederic Massara former AC Milan director of football and Nice Florent Ghisolfi the sporting director at Nice as potential candidates for their vacant sporting director position. Massara’s availability being on gardening leave makes him an attractive option. 

He played a crucial role in Milan’s Serie A title win in 2022. Ghisolfi admired by Liverpool owners FSG faces challenges due to Nice’s ownership by INEOS which also has a stake in Manchester United. Liverpool is keen on making a quick appointment to plan for the future.

Xabi Alonso is a favored candidate for the managerial position. Liverpool aims to appoint the sporting director before deciding on Klopp’s successor. Other potential managers include Roberto De Zerbi, Ange Postecoglou and Thomas Frank.
