Liverpool scheduled match against Luton has been moved to February 21 just days before their Carabao Cup final against Chelsea on February 25. This rescheduling means Liverpool will have only one full day of training between the Luton game and the final.
In contrast, Chelsea will enjoy a full week of preparation as their match against Tottenham remains unaffected. While Liverpool’s fixture was not chosen for TV broadcast, Chelsea’s fixture with Tottenham was already selected preventing any rescheduling.
Despite the tight schedule, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is confident in his team’s ability to handle the demands. The Reds currently have several players out injured including Mohamed Salah, Joel Matip, Stefan Bajcetic, Ben Doak and Wataru Endo.
