Liverpool assistant manager Pep Lijnders revealed that Mohamed Salah will undergo rehab on Merseyside for a hamstring tear to increase his chances of playing in the Africa Cup of Nations final with the recovery expected to take three to four weeks.

Salah’s departure from the tournament has faced criticism in Egypt but Lijnders emphasized Salah’s commitment and the collaborative decision between Egypt’s medical team and Liverpool to ensure the best treatment. Andy Robertson is set to return to the squad after recovering from a shoulder injury.

While Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dominik Szoboszlai are expected to be ready for the FA Cup weekend. Curtis Jones has been cleared after a muscle injury against Bournemouth. Salah will miss Liverpool’s Carabao Cup semi-final against Fulham, but Robertson is set to travel with the squad.
