In a highly competitive quarter-final at the UK Open, Luke Littler quest for his first major PDC title was halted by Damon Heta. Despite a valiant effort, the 17 years old succumbed to a 10-8 defeat to the Australian who showcased an impressive average of 106.04. Heta advanced to the semi-finals but was eventually beaten by Dimitri Van den Bergh who went on to win a thrilling final against world No 1 Luke Humphries.

Andrew Gilding the 2023 UK Open winner was eliminated in the fifth round this year by Peter Wright while three times champion Michael van Gerwen exited in the fourth round at the hands of Mensur Suljovic. Littler having defeated James Wade, Martin Schindler and Dave Chisnall to reach the quarter-finals will resume action in the Premier League on Thursday in Brighton.

The upcoming Premier League quarter-finals feature Humphries vs Price, Cross vs Van Gerwen, Aspinall vs Littler and Smith vs Wright.
