Luuk De Jong’s Penalty Levels the Score as PSV and Dortmund Battle to 1-1 Draw

Luuk de Jong’s calmly converted penalty secured a 1-1 draw for PSV Eindhoven against Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie. The Dutch striker equalized in the second half after Mats Hummels fouled Malik Tillman in the box.

Donyell Malen had earlier given Dortmund the lead with a deflected shot. Despite PSV having better chances including Tillman’s miss the match ended in a draw. The second leg is scheduled for March 13 in Dortmund. Both teams will aim to capitalize on their strong home records to progress in the competition.
