Daniel Ting is confident that the Malaysian national football team known as Harimau Malaya can handle the absence of co-captain Matthew Davies in their upcoming World Cup qualifier against Oman. Davies and another defender Junior Eldstal are sidelined due to injuries. With Davies out, defender Dion Cools is expected to assume the captaincy.
Daniel acknowledges the importance of Davies and Eldstal but believes the team has sufficient depth to compensate for their absence. Despite not being in ideal preseason form, Daniel expresses optimism about the team’s readiness for the Oman match.
Daniel currently on loan to Sabah from Johor Darul Ta’zim previously represented Malaysia in the Asian Cup making an appearance in the match against South Korea.
