Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden have been nominated for individual awards following their outstanding performances against FC Copenhagen on Tuesday. De Bruyne is a contender for the UCL Player of the Week receiving praise from UEFA Technical Observer Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for his Man of the Match performance.
The Belgian scored the opening goal and provided two assists in a 3-1 victory. He faces competition from Kylian Mbappe, Matteo Guendouzi and Brahim Diaz. Foden is in the running for the UCL Goal of the Week for his added time goal created through a skillful one-two with De Bruyne.
Foden’s goal is competing against Diaz’s winner for Real Madrid, Bradley Barcola’s effort for PSG and Magnus Mattsson’s finish for Copenhagen.
