Manchester City vs. Arsenal: Key Team News Ahead of Clash

Manchester City will be without John Stones and Kyle Walker due to injuries but Manuel Akanji, Kevin de Bruyne and Matheus Nunes are fit. Ederson is expected to start after recovering from a muscle injury. Arsenal Gabriel, Bukayo Saka, and Gabriel Martinelli may return, and David Raya is set to play.

In head-to-head matches, Manchester City has dominated Arsenal at home winning eight consecutive matches. However, Arsenal won the reverse fixture in October, halting City 12 games winning streak. Manchester City remains unbeaten in 38 home matches and has scored in their last 57 home games.  They struggle against top-five teams this season, with no wins in five matches.

Guardiola has 16 victories against Arsenal. Erling Haaland seeks to end a scoring drought while De Bruyne is close to reaching 100 goals for City. Arsenal has won all eight Premier League games in 2024, scoring 33 goals and conceding only four. They aim for their fourth successive away clean sheet and hope Kai Havertz continues his scoring streak.
