Manchester City’s fifth trophy in an incredible year is a “outstanding achievement.”

In the FIFA Club World Cup final in Saudi Arabia, Manchester City defeated Fluminense 4-0 to win their fifth trophy of 2023.

They are now the first English club to win the FA Cup, Champions League, Super Cup, Premier League, and Club World Cup all at the same time.

Quoting manager Pep Guardiola, they are “the best team in the world” after winning the Club World Cup, calling it a “outstanding achievement.” Given that they had already won the league and Champions League earlier in 2023, City had an incredibly successful year.

Their triumph in Saudi Arabia brings their total number of trophies for the year to two: the Super Cup and the Club World Cup.

They have only won one of their last five games in the Premier League though, and their league form has recently plummeting.
