Manchester United is undergoing a restructuring of its football department with the aim of transforming the club after a period of decline. Following the appointment of Omar Berrada from Manchester City as chief football operations manager, INEOS the new minority owner is working on further appointments.
Southampton’s director of football Jason Wilco and Newcastle’s sporting director Dan Ashworth are among the individuals approached for key positions. Wilcox who previously worked with Berrada at Manchester City played a significant role in developing talents in the academy.
INEOS Chairman Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s 25% stake in Manchester United is set to be confirmed marking the beginning of a new era for the club.
