Sir Jim Ratcliffe the INEOS chairman has taken control of Manchester United footballing operations and aims to restore the club’s former glory without pursuing superstar signings like Jude Bellingham or Kylian Mbappe. Ratcliffe emphasized the importance of proper management and recruitment over splurging on marquee players. He expressed a preference for identifying and nurturing talent rather than buying success outright.

Ratcliffe commended Arsenal patience with Mikel Arteta and jokingly expressed disdain for Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City as rivals in the Premier League title race. He hinted at the possibility of a new, state of the art stadium for United. Meanwhile, United midfielder Christian Eriksen voiced his dissatisfaction with his playing time but acknowledged the competition for places in the team.
