Manchester United’s Antony Criticized for Controversial Celebration in FA Cup Win

Manchester United’s Antony drew criticism for his ear-cupping celebration aimed at Coventry players following United narrow FA Cup semi-final victory. The Brazilian who has struggled this season faced accusations of disrespect from former Coventry forward Clinton Morrison and was also criticized for misspelling “Coventry” in a social media post.

Despite initially leading 3-0, United collapsed and needed a VAR decision to disallow a Coventry goal in extra time. Roy Keane observed that United players and fans appeared more embarrassed than celebratory after the win raising concerns about the team’s leadership and character.
