Golfers Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton appreciate the support from Ryder Cup teammate Rory McIlroy as they start their debut season in the LIV Golf League. McIlroy who initially criticized players joining the Saudi-backed league has softened his stance stating that returning players should not be “punished.”
Rahm and Hatton banned from the PGA Tour for switching to LIV Golf express their desire to play on multiple tours including the Ryder Cup. While McIlroy’s shift in perspective is welcomed not all of the PGA Tour shares the same sentiment with mixed opinions among players according to Jordan Spieth.
Rahm acknowledges the challenges and secrecy surrounding his move to the LIV Golf League but is content with the expected reactions and support from close friends.
