Musiala, de Ligt back to face United

There is some good news for Bayern after their humiliating 1-5 defeat in a Bundesliga match against Eintracht Frankfurt last Saturday.

Thomas Tuchel’s squad will be boosted by the availability of playmaker Jamal Musiala and centre-back Mathijs de Ligt.

Musiala, who has been sidelined since October due to a muscle issue, expressed his excitement in a press conference about playing under the Old Trafford lights. He made the team last weekend and is expected to start against the Red Devils.

On the other hand, de Ligt, who has been recovering from a knee injury sustained last month, is expected to return and be included in the matchday squad at Old Trafford. This comes as welcomed news for Tuchel, who is facing defensive problems following the match against Frankfurt.

United will need a win to keep any hope of advancing, and it will prove to be a tough challenge as Bayern has not lost a Champions League group game in 39 matches now.
