Neil Warnock Takes Charge: Aberdeen’s New Interim Manager Ready for Challenge

Aberdeen has appointed Neil Warnock as their interim manager with plans to secure a permanent boss for the 2024-25 season by the end of the current campaign. The 75 years old takes over from Barry Robson who was dismissed after a year in charge with Aberdeen positioned eighth in the Scottish Premiership.

Warnock known for his extensive managerial career expressed eagerness for the challenge and emphasized Aberdeen’s ambitious stature. His assistant Ronnie Jepson and first team coach Peter Leven have also joined the club.

Warnock coming out of retirement previously managed Huddersfield Town and has a notable record of eight promotions in his career. The appointment provides Aberdeen time for a detailed football operation review including benchmarking against successful European teams. 

Aberdeen expects that Warnock’s enthusiasm and effective managerial approach will have a positive impact on the team.
