New Faces Expected: England Braces for Six Nations Opener Amidst Player Absences

England’s fly-half Marcus Smith is uncertain for the Six Nations opener against Italy due to an injury during training. Smith’s absence might lead to 21 years old Fin Smith making his debut. The team is already without key players like Owen Farrell, Joe Marchant, Ollie Lawrence, Manu Tuilagi, Courtney Lawes, Tom Curry and Jonny May.

Coach Steve Borthwick is expected to include new caps in the squad with Fraser Dingwall likely to start at inside centre. England captain Jamie George expresses confidence in the team’s abilities and the final squad will be announced on Thursday.
