Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer joined fans in the away section at Craven Cottage for the first time in nearly 40 years to witness his team’s 2-0 victory over Fulham in the FA Cup securing a place in the fifth round. Goals from Sean Longstaff and Dan Burn sealed the win. Shearer visibly delighted shared a selfie on social media and expressed his joy at the experience. 

Newcastle manager Eddie Howe praised his team’s resilience in a challenging game, acknowledging that it was not their best performance. Despite injury concerns and a less-than-fluent display, Howe emphasized the importance of securing a result in tough matches. Looking ahead he expressed the team’s ambition to go far in the FA Cup aiming to build on the momentum from last year’s Carabao Cup final.
