The Premier League may face controversy again as Notts County supporter David Coote is set to referee the relegation battle between Luton and Wolves. Nottingham Forest still frustrated over recent refereeing decisions have demanded VAR audio from their match against Everton. Forest upcoming clash against Manchester City will be officiated by Simon Hooper who previously oversaw their match against Tottenham.

Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo criticized VAR decisions in recent games questioning why James Maddison wasn’t sent off for an alleged punch. Forest dissatisfaction with refereeing decisions has led to discussions with the Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL). Additionally, Neco Williams, Nuno and the club’s refereeing analyst have been asked for their observations after their comments.
