Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp praises Darwin Nunez’s outstanding performance scoring two goals in a 5-1 Europa League win over Sparta Prague. Nunez despite facing derogatory chants from opposing fans has scored 16 goals and provided 11 assists this season.
Klopp describes Nunez as having “quality coming out of his ears” and believes he is thriving as Liverpool faces crucial upcoming fixtures including a clash with Manchester City. Klopp remains optimistic about Nunez’s development and sees him becoming a world-class forward.
The only concern for Liverpool was a potential injury to defender Ibrahima Konate who was substituted as a precaution. Klopp assures that Joe Gomez’s halftime substitution was a tactical decision not due to injury. Liverpool faces Manchester City in a pivotal match for the Premier League title race.
