Olav Kooij Sprints to Second Victory at Paris-Nice in Thrilling Finish

Olav Kooij of Visma-Lease A Bike secured his second victory in a sprint finish at Paris-Nice in Sisteron. The Dutchman strategically overtook Mads Pedersen and Pascal Ackermann in the final 150 meters claiming the win. The 193.5km stage featured a breakaway of six riders ultimately caught in the last 20km.

The sprinter teams controlled the pace as notable contenders like Arvid De Kleijn, Fabio Jakobsen and Kaden Groves withdrew from the race. Despite missing time bonuses for GC contenders, Luke Plapp retained the yellow jersey. The stage also saw a failed late attack by Quentin Pacher, Michael Valgren and Bob Jungels.

The sprint finish sets the stage for the anticipated Liverpool vs Manchester City match, kicking off at 3:45 pm on Sunday.
