Former England football star Paul Gascoigne known as Gazza has disclosed that he is currently residing as a “sad drunk” in the spare room of his agent Katie Davies’ house in Dorset. Gascoigne who has battled alcohol and mental health issues for decades, previously claimed to have turned his life around with anti-alcohol pellets.
In a recent interview on the High Performance podcast, he admitted to being a “sad drunk” who drinks indoors and described the aftermath as challenging with missed calls and messages. Despite attending Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings, Gascoigne acknowledged his struggles reflecting on his playing career including a serious knee injury and the impact of his personal challenges.
