Pellegrini, Lukaku fire Roma to 2-0 win over nine-man Napoli

Roma defeated Napoli 2-0 at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome in a Serie A match.

After coming on as a substitute, Lorenzo Pellegrini scored Roma’s first goal in the 76th minute.

In the 66th minute, Napoli defender Matteo Politano was sent off for a foul. Romelu Lukaku scored Roma’s second goal in stoppage time on a counter-attack.

Napoli were also reduced to nine men late in the game after Victor Osimhen was sent off.

The victory propels Roma to sixth place in Serie A, one point ahead of seventh-placed Napoli.
